When we make a transfer of your audio, whether to playable CD or to mp3 files, we will create one file for each side of your original audio media. If you want this file broken up further (typically each song separately) then we have this additional charge to cut it into several parts.
When you bring in multiple tapes, reels, etc. we can put several sources (transferred to mp3 files) on to one CD. This is a way to save you some money and reduce the number of disks you have. These files can be played on a computer or on various mp3 players.
All of your old records (LP, 45, 78, you name it), reel-to-reel, 8 track tapes and cassettes (even mini and micro cassettes) can be transferred to mp3 files. This method creates mp3 files that will play in a computer and on various mp3 players.
When you bring in multiple tapes, reels, etc. and they are shorter than 80 minutes in length we can often combine more than one source on to one CD.
