Dean brought in several audio cassette tapes to transfer to mp3 files on a flash drive. It has recordings of a mother recounting the stories she had told her children as they were growing up. This segment is about her parent’s struggling to name her for 6 months.
Tory brought in a photo of his father who was a pilot for us to scan, restore and reprint in color and in black and white.
Derek brought in a special VHS tape that was recorded they year his mother passed away. His sister had arranged for a visit from Santa that year. We have a clip of the Santa here. Seems to me that his hair could use a trim. What great memories for the family.
Neil brought in a collection of slides for us to scan. We found this one of the Sonnenalmbahn gondola lift at the Schmittenhohe ski resort in Austria. Try to say that three times 🙂
Tom and Tammy brought in some regular 8mm film reels to be transferred to digital files. This segment showed a young girl at Christmas time getting a new tea set and her father sitting down to play with her.
Cayenne brought in a collection of photos to be scanned and reprinted. She said that her family moved here in 1879 and that these are photos of her family near the Poudre River near Fort Collins. I found this photo to be interesting with the old car, foothill in the background, and it looks like they found a long snake at the side of the road.
Tish brought in a collection of VHSC video tapes. She had us transfer all of them to individual files on a flash drive. This segment from the transfer shows a big reaction to a very special gift received from her grandfather. It’s a tear jerk-er.
Robin had some old family films that she transferred to VHS 20 years ago. She brought in the VHS for us to transfer to mp4 files on a flash drive. Amongst the film footage were some scenes from Yellowstone National Park of various geysers, bubbling pools, the lodge and old cars driving by. Now, they will be able to watch them on their TV or computer and it is easy to copy, share and edit the files.
