Twin towers, Ringo Starr doll, kissing compilation, and more

Louise brought in some undeveloped old 35mm rolls.  We processed the film and then scanned in the negatives (converted into positives) and emailed all the files to her.  This is a fun one from days gone by.  Looks like a triple exposure to me.  What a fun effect.

Emily brought us all sorts of old media to transfer.  It included DVD, VHS-C, super 8, CDs and slides!  We digitized it all and shared it with her on a link that she could download all the files from. She had several interesting slides some of which are shown here.  A photo with the TV personality “Bill Nye the Science Guy”, an edited image of her and her sister leaning on the twin towers (editing done I’m sure before the disaster) and a photo of Reagan for president…back in 1968!?  Also shared here is a sample from one of her film reels of all sorts of people kissing (note the flyaway comb over, kissing a dog).  All sure to make you smile.

Also in Emily’s collection was chilling footage of their family trip to New York on June 3, 2001 (the year they were destroyed).  They have footage of the twin towers in the distance, shots of the front of the building, inside the building and from to viewing deck on top.  It is so interesting I included a lot of footage.  So glad that she had this visit and recorded all these images.  Leave A Legacy transferred her VHS-C into digital mp4 files to share

Erin brought in a VHS tape that had originally be captured on film and was then transferred to VHS.  Our job was to transfer it from VHS to a digital file on 4 flash drives.  It is a great choice to preserve memories with digital creations and now she can share the memories easily.  It had a gift opening segment that included a lady thrilled to receive a Ringo Starr doll.  See that footage here.  I added a product photo of the doll at the end.

Karen brought in a MiniDV to be transferred to a digital files and saved on a flash drive and available for download.  I found a segment that showed a very interesting piece of checked baggage for transport on the airline.  Looks like it was a special delivery of a toy for the young boy.  It won’t be a mystery as to the contents.

Chris brought his collection of slides to our Englewood drop off location.  We scanned his 169 slides and saved them to his flash drive.  We found this interesting one from his trip to Jamaica. There is a man in the costume between them.
Philip brought in a PAL(formatted)-VHS tape (that means it was recorded in a different country and won’t play on a regular USA player).  We transferred his PAL VHS to a file on 2 flash drives.  It was professional footage of helicopters from the Naval Air Command in England.  See a bit this interesting footage here.

Lisa brought in 74 videos tapes both VHS-C and MiniDV and had us transfer them to digital files to be shared online.  Among her travel videos I found this segment of their visit to Notre Dame 25 years before it burned.  I thought you might enjoy seeing some of this footage of inside and outside of the amazing iconic cathedral.
