Debbie brought in her iphone and had us transfer all the photo and video files from her phone and from cloud storage onto an external hard drive.  That was over 27,000 images saved and backed up!

Sandra brought in a large collection of regular 8 films to be transferred to digital and also burned on DVDs.  She had films from many years including black & whites and color but all silent.  Enjoy these segments from their large turkey farm and dad carving the Thanksgiving turkey with a sword!

Emma has us transfer an audio cassette to an mp3 digital file on a flash drive for her.  She was referred to us by the Fort Collins Library. Part of the recording was an electric piano and there were snippets of interesting conversations interspersed.  This is a colorful amusing conversation about the merits and pitfalls of drinking coffee, whisky and other spirits.

Julie brought in an old letter from 1904 and the stamp on it is just 2 cents.  It was mailed from grandpa in Springfield to her grandma in Kansas (the street address was not needed). We scanned lots of items for her and saved the all to a flash drive. The handwriting is very elaborate.  See if you can read this decorative writing?

Tana brought in ten 8mm film reels to be transferred to digital files a flash driveEnjoy this clip of Marineland in Florida from 1960s.  You can see large fish, turtles and stingrays swimming around and a man in an underwater suit feeding them. Later you can see a circus like seal performance.

Sandra and her husband brought in several positive transparencies to be scanned in, enhanced and reprinted.  She wanted the group photo to be cropped to just show her parents.  We enhanced the color, resized it and adjusted the background color for more contrast.  They were going to send the image to a company that seals and mounts images on tombstones.

Lauraine brought in VHS tapes to be transferred to digital files on a flash drive.  They captured all sorts of family memories that will be easy to share now and with multiple copies around, the family can worry no more about losing these memories.  Watch this clip from a wedding where the bride fakes out all the ladies wanting to catch the bouquet.

Kent brought in several photos and a cross stitched panel to be scanned and made digital on a flash drive.  He also had us print several actual size copies of the cross stitch.  His mother, now passed, made it some 36 years ago and now he has copies for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Ruth has had us do a male 5 generationphoto before and this time brought in the collection of originals to scan and layout as a black and white collage of 4 generations of women as a 14” x 14” image for framing.  We sent her a few proofs to get the arrangement just right before printing.

New services:

Leave A Legacy is now also offering film processing for your 35mm rolls and disposable cameras.  We include scanning the negatives in the price.  You can provide your own flash drive for the images or we can provide one.

Ruth came in with a special request last month.  She wanted images transferred to her 5” white cotton fabric squares.  She couldn’t find anywhere else to do it for her so we decided to accommodate her.  We printed out and heat transferred 47 images for her to make 2 quits for her grandchildren.  So now we are offering photo transfer to fabric for clients as well.
