Michele also brought in some audio recorded on reel to reel. It sounded really clear and professional. Curious what media it was recorded from. Take a quick listen to it here.Ross brought in a VHS tape that he had us transfer to digital files for him on a flash drive. There was a video of his special Ford Mustang in several drag races at the now closed Bandimere Speedway. See a clip of his video here.Stephanie brought in some regular 8mm film to transfer to digital. It shows a person teasing a dog and seemingly trying to get bitten. See a clip of it here.
Bandimere Speedway, Mrs. Beasley doll, veterans & more
All settled in our new location at Prospect & Lemay. If you haven’t come in recently please come in and ask for a quick tour or watch it online here.
Many people are getting geared up for the Holiday giving season. We work doubly hard during the Holiday season and get it ALL done in time for Christmas. Don’t delay and bring in yours today.
The Tomlinson’s came from Nebraska and brought their whole collection of family videos. We transferred them all and made them digital and renamed all the files as they indicated. They had the videos all grouped by person. They had us make one master of all the videos on an external hard drive and then made separate flash drives for each person’s videos. After they took them home they decided they were all so good that all the kids in their big blended family should have a copy of all the videos as well. This winter they are working on pulling all their photos out of their many photo albums and will have us scan all the photos in to folders for each stack and save them all to multiple flash drives to share again.
Michele brought in a bunch of super 8 films to transfer to digital files. I spotted one that brought back childhood memories for me. The films showed the client as a child opening up Christmas gifts. One of the gifts she got was a Mrs. Beasley doll. See a clip of it here. I remember my friend, also named Michelle, had one. Curious if any of you remember the doll. She had a string that you pulled and she would say something like: “I do think you are the nicest friend I ever had”. I researched it and found it was made 1966-1971 and it was a doll that Buffy had on the Family Affair show. I remember my mom once had a blue and white polka dot shirt that always made me think of Mrs. Beasley. You never know what memories will be brought up while watching old movie footage.
Angie brought in a collection of slides that we scanned, color corrected and saved on a flash drive. I spotted this classic image from their trip to Arches National Park in Utah and this wacky photo of a really messed up Ford Pickup at the repair shop.
Marie brought in her very very tightly rolled photo of her mother as a bride. The photo was carefully unrolled and scanned. Then we restored and reprinted the photo of the bride with a bride doll. It looks amazing and is much much easier to enjoy and share.
Laura brought in a photo of her and her husband from more than a few years ago. We scanned, color corrected and reprinted a larger photo for her. Great memories to share and display.
Don brought in a single slide to be scanned and printed at an 8×10. It is a photo of him right after he was discharged from the Navy in 1957. His grandson’s school is honoring veterans on Monday and we did a quick turnaround for him so he could bring his photo to share. Thank you Don….and all other veterans for their service!
