Negative Scanning Service Details

We scan lots and lots of negatives at our two Leave A Legacy locations in Denver and Fort Collins. The pricing shown is for scanning each image at 1200dpi which gives you an image that has high enough resolution to print at least a 4” x 6” image. We can scan your negatives at an even higher resolution if you’d like (double the price for double the resolution). We of course transform your negative to a positive digital image. We accept negatives in any sort of container that you bring them in. We can help you keep them organized by saving all the slides from one container into a separate folder if you’d like us to, for a small additional charge.

We get slides of all sorts of sizes into our studios. The resolution that we scan these over sized negatives  is adjusted based on its original size. We can even scan in X-rays. These are usually scanned at 300 dpi of their original size.   If you have good quality prints from your negatives we often suggest scanning them instead since the cost is much less and you will know what color your images will turn out. Once they are digital, you can choose to have us create a DVD slideshow, photo book, calendar, cards, or reprints. We are limited only by your imagination!
